How to travel from Oulu airport to Oulu city center?

All the competition hotels as well as the competition venue are located in Oulu city center. The distance between the city center and Oulu airport is approximately 16 km.

Taxi: 

Otaxi is a local taxi company who offers 24/7 service all year round. The taxi can be ordered in advance. In that case the taxi driver will pick you up inside of the airport right after the baggage claim. The driver has a nameplate with your name on it. The preorder can be done either by calling Otaxi Oulu  (phone number +358 0600 30081, call prices 2,00 €/call + 0,49 €/min + local network charge) or by using Otaxi App.

Otaxi drivers can serve in Finnish, English and Swedish languages.

Bus:

The buses 8, 9 and 9K run from Oulu Airport. The bus stop is in front of the airport buiding.

Lapland Hotel: Franzen (bus # 9) and Pokkitörmä (bus # 8)

Green Star Hotel: Kaupungintalo P (bus # 9 ) and Rotuaari (bus # 8)

Scandic Oulu Station: Franzen (bus # 9) and Linja-autoasema E (bus # 8)

Original Sokos Hotel Arina: Kaupungintalo P (bus # 9) and Rotuaari (bus # 8)

Hotel Lasaretti: Nahkatehtaankatu P (bus # 9) and Pokkitörmä (bus # 8) Please notice that Pokkitörmä bus stop is 1 km from Hotel Lasaretti.

Oulu railway station is close to majority of the competition hotels and competition venue.

The distances between Oulu rainway station and competition hotels are as follows:

Railway station – Lapland Hotel  / 700m

Railway station – Green Star Hotel / 550 m

Railway station – Scandic Oulu Station / 290 m

Railway station – Original Sokos Hotel Arina / 650 m

Railway station – Hotel Lasaretti / 1,3 km

All the hotels are close to competition venue.

The distances between the hotels and the competition venue (Lapland Hotel) are as follows:

Original Sokos Hotel Arina – Lapland Hotel / 450 m

Hotel Lasaretti – Lapland Hotel / 900 m
